Why we exist
Qoriant is a research-driven frontier innovation and venture creation initiative. We begin with important industrial and societal problems over the next five to ten years, then explore how technology, organization and commercial mechanisms can change them.
How we work
Observe broadly. Select a few proposals. Validate with focus. We keep both near-term tests close to existing capabilities and frontier questions that are not ready for operation.
What we hope to create
Research, experiments and collaboration may lead to products, services, infrastructure, licenses or new companies. A venture is not necessarily a new legal company.
Current stage
Qoriant is forming an agenda and concept notes, and seeking validation partners. It is commercially oriented and aims to build a sustainable innovation development practice in stages.
Possible collaboration mechanisms
Around a concrete problem, we may explore research commissions, joint validation, tools and technology licensing, or co-creation when conditions are ready. Scope and resources must be agreed for each collaboration.
Global research, local possibilities
Hong Kong and Shenzhen are potential places to test and collaborate. Experience in sport can inform one direction, while the agenda extends across human capability, research and production access, and local infrastructure.
Independent research interests
HIE explores human and artificial intelligence, learning and collaboration. Qoriant focuses on how important problems, technology, organization and ventures take shape. They may exchange research through specific collaboration; no shared team, database or intellectual property is implied.
